Hey Kim, I just wanted to drop a note and thank you for creating and maintaining this. My whole japanese class has fallen in love with the Denshi Jisho :)
Thanks!
Heyyy just wanna let you know that Im utilising your site too.. it;s great to find a site that allows hiragana input, with plain forms as well as exmaple sentences and doesnt give weird answers like bablefish.. thanks so much!
I stumbled on a problem. I’m searching for 億 and over-defined my search using the character to the right of 人, 立, and 日. The web interface shows 心 and 音 still available but says that ‘0′ kanji fit my selection.
Again — I love the tool but thought you’d want to know about this.
Hey, Kim!
Thank you for creating and maintaining this tool for all of us! I’m a Japanese language student and I use it frequently. I just wanted to know which system of romanization is being used in this dictionary. Is it indicated anywhere on the Denshi Jisho page?
Thanks again!

The Denshi Jisho is simply superb. For someone like me, who is learning Kanji on his own, this is no less than an boon.
Thank u very much, pray u’ll be showered with peace and prosperity.

Thanks for creating this site. This has been a god-send for someone like myself who is independently studying kanji.
This blows all other online Japanese dictionaries out of the water.
Two recommendations:
1) Add pronunciation
2) Add hirigana along with the example sentences
