About the bookmarklet:

It's a small thing, but in FireFox 3.5 for Windows, the bookmarklet does not have an icon associated with it, so a blank page with a turned-down corner appears in its place. When I bookmarked your main page to the Bookmark Toolbar, the icon did appear there. Also, when I added your search function to my search bar, the icon appears there both for j-e & e-j.

Like I said, it's minor & does not affect the function, but I wanted you to know in case it was easy to fix.

If I were not on disability, (or if Intel's private long-term disability *which I paid for* were approved--sigh) I absolutely would contribute. Thanks for all your hard work!

Trejkaz, those are very good suggestions. Thanks!

Vivogram, there is already support for this. Denshi Jisho search options should appear in the search bar in Firefox.

Hi ^^ I was wondering if you plan to build something for the search engine function of Firefox 3.5. That would be a great addition to your already awesome functions.

This is pretty neat, but I have some minor suggestions:

1. The iPhone capitalises the first letter of the word, but if you enter the japanese word in romaji then it doesn't find the word (it must be case sensitive.)

2. I think it would be neat if it converted romaji into kana after submitting the form, like the full web interface does.

3. It would be nice if the keyboard went away after hitting Search, but I'm not sure how feasible this is (maybe it would happen automatically if the text field lost the focus? just a random thought, could be completely wrong here.)

4. It would be nice if jisho.org could take advantage of the new iPhone OS 3.0 home screen features, in particular launching without the browser chrome to make it appear more like a native app, but also the preloading placeholder image is a nice thing to have.

Thanks for creating this site. This has been a god-send for someone like myself who is independently studying kanji.

This blows all other online Japanese dictionaries out of the water.

Two recommendations:
1) Add pronunciation
2) Add hirigana along with the example sentences

Hey, Kim!
Thank you for creating and maintaining this tool for all of us! I'm a Japanese language student and I use it frequently. I just wanted to know which system of romanization is being used in this dictionary. Is it indicated anywhere on the Denshi Jisho page?
Thanks again!

Not that I'm impressed a lot, but this is more than I expected for when I stumpled upon a link on Delicious telling that the info here is quite decent. Thanks.
